Whisper

Whisper is a large standard donkey who, along with her foal, found herself in a desperate situation as she was surrendered to a kill pen by her owners and most likely destined for slaughter.  As a new mother, Whisper’s journey includes the added responsibility of caring for her new foal amidst the uncertainty and instability of her circumstances.

Having endured starvation and neglect, she developed food aggression to survive.  These scars are seen when she displays dominant behavior around feeding time, a lingering reminder of her difficult journey. Despite her challenging past, Whisper is a remarkably intelligent and sweet-natured donkey. Her innate smarts shine through as she navigates her way through life, while her gentle demeanor and affectionate nature touch the hearts of those who meet her. With time and care, she has the potential to build trust and form deep connections, revealing her beautiful and endearing personality.
