Whiskey, a chestnut and white paint donkey, is a thriving yearling who, along with his mother (Whisper), found himself in a harrowing situation when he and his mother were surrendered to a kill pen. This young donkey has flourished in his newfound environment, showcasing a remarkable spirit and zest for life.

Whiskey’s endearing sweetness shines through in his playful nature. Always brimming with energy, he can be found frolicking and exploring his surroundings. This young donkey is a constant source of joy and entertainment, always eager to engage in playful interactions. His mischievous nature is exemplified by his habit of nipping, a playful behavior that reflects his exuberance and desire for connection. Whiskey’s affectionate disposition and penchant for playfulness make him a delightful companion, capturing the hearts of those who have the pleasure of spending time with him.

Whiskey’s life had a rocky start, and we became his lifeline when we rescued him and his mother. Resilience and exuberance have allowed him to thrive. His captivating presence serves as a reminder of the transformative power of love, care, and a playful spirit, illuminating the potential for growth and happiness even in the face of adversity.

We were honored to be able to intervene and rescue Whiskey and his mother from a dire situation. Their surrender to the kill pen could have meant an uncertain and tragic fate. Instead , it became the turning point in their lives.
